Description:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree/equivalent in business or related discipline. MBA or related master's degree preferred. Five (5) years professional/exempt experience in business planning, systems analysis or project management including use of business modeling and measurement systems techniques,
preferably in an aviation related field. Demonstrated ability in utilizing financial modeling to evaluate and construct optimal business cases and
forecasts significant experience in aviation parts and materiel management. Familiarity with far and automated inventory management systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain and inventory theories. Proficiency in the use of office computer software programs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Research, analyze and make recommendations regarding materiel management practices to AOD leadership.
Develop planning frameworks and systems to integrate corporate objectives, aod plans, and materiel department MBOs. Provide a means
to adjust objectives and plans when higher level objectives and plans
are modified.
Develop and produce materiel department measurement processes and
methods, recording, analyzing and communicating effectiveness and
efficiency metrics.
Interpret inventory accuracy, audit findings, and monitor performance as
to adherence to action plans.
Develop and maintain decision and analysis models. Use models to advise management on most prudent course of action.
Develop annual operating expense plan, short and long-range capital and expense plan, as well as interim forecasts. Analyze rate of materiel
spend versus materiel budget. Perform periodic updates to divisional business plans to reflect operating changes.
Advise and assist Sr. Mgmt in determining the operational and economic impact on materiel of proposed systems, capital investments, and/or
fleet changes.
Define and capture data required to perform financial analysis and reporting (e.g., sql).
Develop and publish department operational/financial metrics.
Perform benchmarking and competitive analytics regarding aircraft materiel operations (i.e., warehouse, budget, sourcing processes,
supplier management processes, etc.).
Prepare related feasibility/ROI studies, and issue final recommendation. Ensure proper tracking and reporting of such
programs/investments.
Evaluate medium to long term alternatives for capital disposition and make recommendations to leadership.
