Reporting to RC Manager or Supervisor, the Strategic Planning Analyst is responsible for conducting strategic planning and event coordination for a department or group. The Strategic Planning Analyst prepares analytical data which is used to advise Management and provides support to Sr. Strategic Planning Officer/Coordinator who leads projects.
Developing the business strategy, preparing analytical reports and financial statements, and conducting project management for the department or group. Seek out partnership opportunities with internal parties and external partners. Participates or conducts meeting to define and evaluate business problems.
Collect complex financial data from various sources. Prepare analytical reports and financial statements.
Conduct analyses, such as profitability and performance analysis. Input data and run reports/programs to produce financial information.
Support Business Line to conduct business promotion strategies; provide potential customer list, prepare progress report.
Conduct/support complex projects which are assigned by Senior Strategic Planning Manager/Coordinator; prepare meeting materials, organize meetings, negotiate with other parties as necessary.
Prepares required documentation and presents research and recommendation to management.
Produces project plans, and coordinates various areas to ensure deadlines are met. Resolves conflict.
Instruct and support junior staff in the division based upon the instruction from the supervisor.
Requires a 4 year degree.
Must be fluent in English and Japanese (verbal and written).
Must be very proactive in approach and possess strong communication skills.
Required advanced PC skill (Excel, Word, Access etc.)
Required advanced communication skills to compose and write business letter, detailed specifications, and recommendations.
Requires the ability to describe complex business problems and possible solutions to management.
Prefers coordinating major strategic planning efforts and large projects from start to finish.
Prefers 3 years of financial services industry experience, with specific knowledge of corporate banking markets, project management, strategy development and implementation.
