Job Summary:

Coordinate with the client, the bank group, the branch and internal stakeholders such as Portfolio Management, Funding Desk, and Accounting Operations to support Leasing & Asset Finance’s (“L&AF”) agented transactions from an operational perspective.

Major Responsibilities:

  • For certain transactions where the bank acts as agent for syndicated lenders and/or BTMU NY/Tokyo and in close coordination with internal stakeholders such as the portfolio manager, funding desk, branch, operations, be responsible for the following:

o Perform/coordinate funding activities including internal borrowings upon deal closing and at times, on a monthly basis;

o Perform preparation and distribution of monthly invoices, roll-over notices and rate-setting notices;

o Perform /coordinate lease, loan and other payment receipts/distributions;

o Perform/coordinate casualty payment/early buyout options and termination payment applications;

o Set up and maintain UCC Filings and ensure renewals are performed on a timely basis;

o Monitor insurance on the transaction and ensure renewals are performed on a timely basis;

o Additional agented activities as appropriate;

  • For the entire portfolio, be responsible for the following:

o Initial set up of UCC filings for each transaction [in iLien] and ensure UCC renewals are performed on a timely basis;

o Initial set up of Insurance policy information and ensure renewals are performed on a timely basis;

o Maintain document deficiency reporting;

o Additional activities as appropriate.

  • Additional activities and special projects as appropriate to the role.

  • 4-7 years of financial institution experience or the equivalent in credit and/or operational functions supporting multi-lender transactions (preferably 2-5 years in leasing, project finance and/or structured finance products)

  • Knowledgeable about loan documentation or the equivalent

  • Strong critical thinking abilities, business writing and oral communication skills

  • Proactive and positive approach to problem resolution

  • Well-organized, self-starter and capable of working with minimal supervision

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a demanding process-oriented environment

  • Ability to identify issues and communicate status to management

  • Leadership capabilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Business or the equivalent. CPA or MBA considered if less than 5 years of experience.
