Responsibilities: The HMIS Specialist:
• Verifies, corrects and enters participant information into centralized database; conducts regular audits to assure accuracy of data • Runs regular progress reports; creates customized reports to support shelter management and to provided other needed information • Coordinates with Case Managers and Intake staff to ensure HMIS intake requirements are met • Trains staff on HMIS and answers questions relating to the system • Oversees the privacy/confidentiality notification processes to meet regulatory guidelines • Maintains case load • Other duties as assigned
Requirements: • Bachelor's degree preferred • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience using HMIS • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office suite • Ability to develop relationships with families as well as a wide variety of stakeholders (schools, health and public benefit agencies • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Additional Requirements: • Valid California driver's license, insurance and reliable transportation • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
