Reporting to the Credit Lending Supervisor or RC Manager, the Credit Lending Officer is responsible for managing relationships with small to medium-sized corporate customers who only have depository relationships with the Bank. May manage large-sized corporate customers as secondary relationship manager. Responsible for depository and cash management services under limited supervision.

Major Responsibilities:

40% - Develop and service depository relationships for small to medium-sized corporate customers. Independently ensure the satisfaction of assigned customers for the implementation and maintenance depository services, cross-sell cash management services, resolve any operational problems, and answer inquiries regarding existing and new services.

40% - Call on potential or existing customers to develop new business and increase or retain existing business. Interview customers to determine business strategy, needs, and financial conditions.

15% - Perform underwriting and risk assessment of credit transactions. Analyze customers' financial condition and business performance with instructions and advice from assigned Credit Lending Supervisor. Monitor ACH and DOD lines, and collect needed information for credit recommendations of ACH and DOD lines.

5% - Support the Credit Lending Supervisor or Manager who leads the business promotion project. Conduct research on existing or potential customers, compile data from Bank's database, and draft memos to obtain management approval or update the current situation.

  • 1 years previous experience with depository and cash management services, and loan products.

  • 4-year College Degree.

  • Must be able to read, write and speak Japanese and English at the business level.

  • Requires knowledge of basic banking principles, operations and workflow functions performed by various departments.

  • Requires knowledge of depository and cash management services.

  • Ability to interview customers to determine business strategies and needs.
