Stansell is hiring one (1)Technician. The ideal candidate will have previous Technical experience and be able to perform the basic functions of the job as described below.

This position conducts a variety of maintenance work related to the support of customer ITS systems and equipment. Employee installs, maintains, modifies, adjusts, tests, troubleshoots, and/or repairs ITS communication and field devices. Responds to emergency situations to assist with repair and maintenance of ITS systems. Follows applicable safety procedures when working in traffic. Will operate equipment such as bucket trucks, cable locating instruments and electrical test equipment. The person must demonstrate the supervisory skills, mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and literacy skills commensurate to the satisfactory completion of position's primary duties and responsibilities.


  1. Perform and/or direct the basic tasks of material handling, job site housekeeping, tool and equipment maintenance, and general labor.2. Perform, instruct, and direct the assembly of ITS devices and ITS control equipment.3. Perform or direct ITS field maintenance.4. Provide technical assistance to customers as needed.5. Assist with inventory maintenance, storage and control.6. Assist in tracking production.7. Able to operate a motor vehicle and a forklift.8. Perform computer functions utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite and Visio software program.9. Able to comprehend blue prints and schematics.10. Able to design ITS control assemblies and circuits.11. Performs all tasks in a timely manner.12. May direct and train ITS Technician 1 level as necessary.13. Attend weekly coordination and planning meetings.14. Understand and follow supervisor directions and instructions, both written and verbal.15. Comprehends and abides by Stansell Electric customer policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Reports all violations to immediate supervisor.16. Capable of operating hand power tools and meters or electronic test equipment.17. Available to work OT and after hours as needed, which may include light travel and the ability to respond to after-hours emergency calls.

  • 2 year Associates Deg

  • Current valid driver license

  • Attention to details

  • Strong code of ethics

  • Service oriented, good “people skills”

  • Two or more years experience in a Technical role; CCTV, wireless communications, fiber and networking (will consider less experienced candidates provided they can demonstrate willingness to learn, flexibility, pleasant demeanor, and superior intelligence)

  • Strong knowledge of the electrical field
