Performs a variety of standard to moderately complex technical tasks related to installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, cooling, ventilation and related systems.
Investigate problems and performs repairs on various mechanical and minor electrical equipment in heating, cooling, ventilation, and purified water systems.
Monitors and inspects heating and cooling systems to ensure continued proper operation.
Checks and changes air filters on a regular basis.
Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, and verbal instructions by higher level mechanics.
Performs work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
Perform other duties as required.
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical degree preferred
1 year of HVAC experience or completion of an apprenticeship program
Requires understanding of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs
Physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
Valid driver’s license required
Team player committed to working in a quality environment
Able to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
2 years of HVAC experience or completion of an apprenticeship program
May be required to use a variety of hand and power tools
