We are a leading provider of spring contact probe based technologies, including connectors, advanced semiconductor test sockets and ATE interfaces. IDI connectors are found in a variety of applications within the military, aerospace, medical, homeland security and industrial markets. Founded in 1979, IDI was acquired by Smiths Interconnect, a division of Smiths Group, in 2010.
          The RequirementsTo be a good fit for the opportunity of Process Engineer, you should have:
          * A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or a related technical field.
          * 5+ years of experience working as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.

          * Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 structure and requirements.

          * The ability to read and interpret part drawings.
          * Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to resolve complex manufacturing-related problems.
          * Experience in establishing labor rates/standards and reviewing performance to these standards.
          * The ability to prepare layouts of plant facilities to optimize utilization and product flow.
          * Proficiency with software tools including Microsoft Word and Excel, and AutoCAD.

          * Electrical/Electronic assembly experience.In addition to these requirements you should be willing to travel to Mexico and China. We don’t anticipate heavy travel, but you will be visiting both locations approximately twice per year, generally for a week at a time.
