Job Description Quality Engineer, CRH Programs is looking for a highly motivated individual to provide direct support to the Combat Rescue Helicopter Program in the capacity of a Program Quality Engineer. This individual will be responsible for: 1)Planning , organizing, and leading quality-related activities including investigation, root cause and corrective action on Sikorsky and supplier products; 2)Monthly metric package deliverables; 3)Product fault investigations; 4)Participating in program reviews; 5)Customer interaction; 6)Integrated Product Teams (IPT) support; 7)Monitoring timely completion of Contract Data Requirements List items (CDRL); 8)Customer notifications regarding product safety issues; 9)General program support as required by Program Management; and 10)Support all Program objectives.
Education / Certifications* AS Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Engineering related discipline with 10-15 years experience, BS degree with 5-10 years experience, MS/MBA with 2-5+ years experience. FAA Airframe and Powerplant License, preferred
Experience / Qualifications* •A self-starter with the ability to work in a very fast-paced and changing environment with minimal supervision. •H-60 Production and Operations experience preferred. •Must be able to consistently execute and meet deliverables on-time with minimal supervision. •Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100, AS9102, FAA Part 21, ASQR-01, and Internal Sikorsky procedures. •Preferred experience working with Sikorsky helicopter products •Demonstrated understanding of assembly sheets, maintenance/ repair manuals and technical drawings. •Experience in root cause analysis, mistake proofing, and project management. •Proficiency in using MS office products (Access, Word, Excel, and powerpoint) is required, especially in Excel for creating metrics. •Must possess effective communication including the ability to structure, prepare and deliver compelling and clear communications to all levels of the organization. •Proficiency in using MatrixOne, Solumina, and SAP is preferred. •Fully demonstrated competencies in critical/analytical thinking, customer focus, and focus on results. •Must be a U.S. Citizen •Ability to obtain all required Government security clearances for working on this program.
Seeking an individual with proven technical ability, communication skills, and business judgment. Some travel may be required, as well as, occasional overtime to support program and customer milestones. This position requires substantial time interfacing with Programs, Engineering, Contracts, Operations, Integrated Logistics Support, Suppliers, and Customers.
