Head of Enterprise Content Management, Director

Job Summary

The manager of the Enterprise Content Management organization is tasked with enterprise ownership and management of Enterprise Content environments. This function will oversee the enterprise content shared services environment and ensure enterprise wide adherence to the data lifecycle. The team will collaborate with business data teams to create, centralize, categorize and prioritize content data requirements and content implementations for the enterprise content data stores and technologies. Additionally this function provides a support framework in collaboration with business teams to fulfill comprehensive content data requirements and data testing needs.

Major Responsibilities

Manage the Enterprise Content Management organization and lead the team in realizing MUFG America’s vision of content data managed as an asset. Oversee and champion adherence to the content data lifecycle from inception to disposition and serve as the connection and facilitation between business and the technology organizations implementing the lifecycle process and content management best practices. Partner with business teams and implement all Enterprise Content shared services data projects from requirements creation and delivery to testing. Conduct assessments of the Enterprise Content environments, champion continuous improvement initiatives and drive innovation. In collaboration with key stakeholders, create and maintain ECM strategy. Contribute to the data acquisition playbook.

Ensure operational execution of daily responsibilities for the following functional areas:*

  • Document Management

  • Records contracts and IP management

  • Digital asset management

  • Web Content Management

  • Knowledge Management

Bachelor’s degree and minimum 15 years related technology experience with significant people management responsibilities.

Candidate requires the following:

  • A track record of success in implementation of large cross organization unstructured and semi structured content data projects and data migration projects

  • Managed an enterprise content management team with both operational and project responsibilities

  • Experienced intellectual property and records management

  • Experienced in delivering comprehensive content data requirements

  • Possesses a strong understanding of control systems and relevant technologies and how they interact with each other

  • Has strong management, organizational and evaluative process skills

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships with internal partners and external vendors

  • Has strong leadership and people management skills to build a cohesive team of members capable of succession to more senior roles

  • Has strong coaching, mentoring and team member development skill

  • Has effective negotiation and influencing skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation skills

  • Has deep experience with IT infrastructure, IT application technologies and frameworks
