Duties & Responsibilities:

Support the H S A at the IHSC medical facility:

Call-outs & Emergency Coverage: Identify call outs and reach out to the PMO to help find coverage. May be required to provide emergency coverage when coverage cannot be located

Work Schedules: schedule employees 4 weeks in advance

Credentialing Check: Review the credentialing package to ensure it is complete and accurate.

Support InGenesis:

Scheduling Site Visits after confirming candidate’s qualifications

Performance Monitoring: address HR issues and training and work with the InGenesis Program Manager to correct problems

Annual Employee Evaluations: assist the Program Manager and Assistant Program Manager by providing input for annual employee evaluations.

Facilitate required training

Award Recommendations: assist the Program Manager and Assistant Program Manager by providing input and recommendations for awards

Skills Assessment/Interview: conduct an in person skills assessment for potential new hires

Participate and provide feedback to the contractor’s QA nurse

Education and Training:

Instructor for the Trauma Nursing Core Course

May serve at more than one IHSC medical facility

Knowledge Required:

Current nursing license, has a BSN and meets continuing education requirements for the State(s) licensed in.

Maintains current CPR certification

Professional nursing principals, procedures, and techniques to patient care and nursing supervision

Medication, administration guidelines, and pharmaceutical agents and their desired and adverse effects in order to recognize untoward effects and take appropriate corrective measures.

Training methods and sufficient interpersonal skills to develop a rapport with patients and co-workers during which instructional and educational information is presented.

Requirements for safety, infection control, quality assurance, maintenance of records to patients seen, statistical information gathering, etc.

Care and responsible to emergency situations

Patient health education skills

Achieve Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) instructor

Supervisory Controls:

Works under the direction of the contract Program Manager.

Physical Demands:

Work requires walking, standing, bending and some lifting, for example to assist patients out of wheelchairs.
