We are looking to add a dynamicDistribution Process Leader for our 450k ft2 warehouse facilities in Jacksonville, FL. This position is responsible for driving collaborative process improvement while leading and developing a strong team of warehouse associates. The Distribution Process Leader will lead project teams and initiatives, work with warehouse leadership on tactical warehouse operations and be part of the team to help in our future transition to a new Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Kaizen and other lean initiatives to drive innovation and continuous improvement

  • Develop appropriate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with warehousing and safety practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; monitor compliance within these areas

  • Analyze and review a variety of warehouse systems and reports to improve quality, efficiency and to allocate staffing resources dynamically

  • Coach and support associates to achieve personal and company performance and quality goals as well as provide learning opportunities to enhance capabilities, business knowledge and personal development

  • Collaborate with business partners that provide staffing and logistics support

Requirements

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration of study in engineering, logistics, or other technical discipline preferred

  • Minimum of three years leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution facility with demonstrated capability in partnering with Human Resources and operations management to address associates’ issues while maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality

  • Experience with WMS software a plus (e.g. Manhattan Associates WMOS, RedPrairie, or HighJump)

Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work non-traditional hours in support of our 24/5 operation (Shift assignments rotate annually)

  • Strong organization and problem-solving capabilities including the use of analytics

  • Passion for learning and bringing new ideas into the organization

  • Knowledge or training in Kaizen and or Lean Six Sigma, with change philosophies/methodologies a plus

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Ability to engage with and coach associates for improved performance

  • Ability to focus on day-to-day role while anticipating and offering ideas for both mid and long term operational planning
