Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope®, a division of Oldcastle, is the leading supplier of products specified to close the building envelope. They include: custom-engineered curtain wall and window wall, architectural windows, storefront systems, doors, skylights and architectural glass.
Develop and maintain an effective relationship with customers by serving as a direct point of contact to provide information or services in response to inquiries about products or services, requests for quotes or pricing, process orders and address and resolve any complaints or issue.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Utilize architectural drawings and specifications, shop drawings or elevation take-offs to provide detailed estimates to customers in a timely manner.
Provide consultation, coordination, and assistance to our customers, sales force and internal personnel.
Consult, coordinate and provide direction or assistance by effectively communicating with other departments to insure timely and accurate deliveries.
Greet customers and answer incoming calls in a professional manner with a positive attitude and assist them with product questions, quotes, ordering, order tracking, complaints and issues in a prompt manner.
Review inventory requirements and stock levels necessary to support orders and place purchase orders for material when necessary to support production.
Following all work and safety rules including but not limited to the wearing of PPE when on the shop floor.
Create, status, revise and review standard or custom reports and metrics
Any other functions assigned or deemed necessary by management.
Proficient in the use of a personal computer and all Microsoft Office programs
Perform basic math calculations
Excellent written and verbal communication
Interact with others in a courteous, professional manner
Highly self-motivated and able to work with others in a fast paced environment
Strong organizational abilities with good follow-up skills
Ability to follow established policies and procedures
Desire to solve problems by gathering data and make sound business decisions
Minimum of a high school education with at least two years of post-secondary education or comparable experience in an engineering or construction related field
Utilize a computer keyboard and type 30 words per minute
Be available to work normal business hours (8-5) and overtime when required
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD software
Possess a reasonable knowledge of design principles in the construction industry with the ability to create shop drawings based on architectural plans and specifications
