As the Medicaid Eligibility Manager, you would manage all activities related to monitoring and appealing denials received from third party payors.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze trends in insurance denials and work with insurance companies to resolve underlying reasons for denials
  • Manage recurring coding or clinical documentation issues and correct the underlying causes for errors.
  • Perform Q/A for Clinical Appeals function
  • Screen, interview, and hire new employees
  • Review each staff member’s productivity on a monthly basis and performing annual evaluations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Organization – proactively prioritizes needs and effectively manages resources * Communication – communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing * Leadership – guides individuals and groups toward desired outcomes, setting high performance standards and delivering leading quality services * Customer Orientation – establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations * Tactical Execution – oversees the development, deployment and direction of complex programs and processes * PC Skills – demonstrates proficiency in PC applications as required * Policies & Procedures – demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems * Financial Management – applies tools and processes to successfully manage budget Education * High school diploma or GED required * Associates or Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred Experience * Minimum 2 years related supervisory experience required * Minimum 3 years of managed care and denials experience Certificates/License- N/A
