POSITION SPECIFICATION POSITION TITLE: DIRECT REPORTS: LOCATION: Network Information Security Analyst None Indianapolis, IN Wabash Valley Power Association (WVPA) is an electric cooperative headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. WVPA generates and transmits wholesale electricity to 23 distribution cooperatives in Indiana, and Missouri that reaches over 300,000 homes and businesses. WVPA has grown to serve the wholesale power needs of local distribution cooperatives in a three-state area and is a member of the PJM Interconnection (PJM) and the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) and a founding member of Touchstone Energy. WVPA also provides a broad variety of business services such as technical services, economic development, engineering and marketing/communications to help its member systems better leverage their own resources and benefit from joint efforts with other nearby co-ops. RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Network Information Security Analyst you will implement and support Wabash Valley Power Associations security policies and architecture to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all company assets under the guidance of senior Technical Services staff. The Network Information Security Analyst will be responsible for: Installing, implementing, administering, monitoring, and maintaining all security architecture technology solutions including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), vulnerability scanning and management, anti-virus management, network access controls, data lost prevention (DLP), public key management, certificate management, identity and password management solutions. Monitor network, systems, and logs to ensure availability to all systems. Investigate and respond to all potential incidents in accordance with prescribed procedures. Investigate, document, and report threats and vulnerabilities to Wabash Valley Power Association and its members. Keep abreast of the latest security issues and briefing senior Technical Services staff of emerging threats. Assist Wabash Valley Power member cooperatives with security setup, assessments, documentation, education and remediation. Assist Office Manager in maintenance and monitoring of physical access control systems, environmental control systems, and fire monitoring and suppression systems. Assist Sr. Networking & EMS Analyst in researching, designing, and implementing new technologies, processes, and controls to improve the organizations defense in depth strategy and security posture. Page 1 Position Specification Network Information Security Analyst Assist Sr. Networking & EMS Analyst and Compliance Department to implement and support all security regulatory obligations of Wabash Valley Power under NERC, SERC, and RFC. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security & Assurance, Information Technology, or related field required. Two to three years of computer technology or computer security experience required. Strong customer service skills with helpful demeanor and ability to communicate technical and security controls. Ability to quickly learn new technologies, complex systems, and industry regulations and best practices. Understanding of database structure and common scripting tools a plus. Any risk management or technology certifications are a plus. Experience in a regulated or public utility industry is also a plus.
