ALTERNATIVE ENERGY MAINTENANCE / TECHNICAL COORDINATOR Location: Worthington, Indiana POSITION SUMMARY Directs renewable fleet maintenance coordination and technical support. Oversees renewable plant/facility maintenance and provides fleet technical support assisting in troubleshooting, diagnostic services, performance optimization, corrective maintenance and repair of generating equipment. Assists in the development of maintenance plans, outage schedules and reports. Assists in pats procurement and the development of maintenance budgets for all Alternative Energy assets. Provides assistance to the CT Gas and Renewable Fleet Maintenance/Technical Coordinator in the Gas Peaking facilities as directed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Plans and oversees renewable plant/facility maintenance and provides fleet technical support to ensure safe, reliable, and cost effective operation of Hoosier Energys Alternative Energy assets in support of corporate goals and objectives. Provides fleet technical support working with third party operations and maintenance providers by supervising and assisting in troubleshooting, diagnosis, performance optimization and repair of generating equipment. Responds to outages and other conditions that impede optimal operation of the Alternative Energy generating fleet to ensure timely and efficient restoration. Provides leadership, direction, coordination and oversight of third party O&M; contractors. Communicates Owners requirements, standards and expectations. Provides planning and oversight of Alternative Energy facility maintenance including, but not limited to: Outage schedule reviews, maintenance scope reviews, quality assurance reviews, cost evaluation, and acceptance reviews. Provides effective communication written and/or verbal regarding maintenance project details to project stakeholders. Works with contractors to ensure a safe and compliant work environment as a top priority. Works closely with operations and maintenance contractors site personnel to assist in the development of maintenance plans, work plans, schedules, and maintenance reports. Develops CMMS preventative maintenance work plan for newly commissioning facilities, processes, and equipment. Works closely with the Hoosier Energy purchasing department. Researches the quality of service, pricing and availability of consultants and other vendor goods or contracted services. Prepares specifications for engineering, consulting, and contactor services. Assists in parts procurement, parts pricing, and vendor identification to support maintenance and equipment repair requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering In lieu of degree, 10 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Experience: 5 years direct experience in CT turbine or reciprocating engine/generator controls, instrumentation, and mechanical repair and operation.
