Job Description


CRI is looking for a temporary to long-term resource to operate computers installing security software on desktops, laptops, and devices following step by step, scripted procedures. The role will require working with users to train and assist on accessing their devices in a secured fashion. This resource will report directly to a supervisor for day-to-day work assignments and work schedule. The initial length of the assignment will be until the September 30, 2016 with additional extensions available. Additional full time roles will also be available for possible advancement.

DUTIES: Install security software approved for issue through IT Requirements process. Follow specific procedures and detailed instructions to complete one routine task. Provide training and navigation to users. Escalate erroneous issues requiring troubleshooting outside of the scripted process to supervisor. Must be Customer Oriented and provide friendly Customer Support.

May resolve undocumented issues without assistance or refer issues to escalation contact.


Escalation contact will provide general supervision, monitor incident status and performance, reviews and coaching. In the role you may provide technical supervision over time to other technicians.


Report issues not in scripted procedures or Knowledge Base Articles, document and draft solutions/fixes for approval. In the role you may mentor or assist other technicians and review their use of documented solutions. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Associates Degree and 2 years related experience or 5 years related experience. Related fields include Customer Service, Call Center or Services industry with aptitude in a Windows computing environment. Desired: Associate’s Degree in related Computer Field or certifications in one of the following – Windows 7, CompTIA A+, or CompTIA Network+ certification or higher (Sec+ preferred). Technical Skills (Must have): Must have some low level familiarity with Windows 7/8.1 Operating System and MS Office Software. Must have familiarity with desktop and laptop computer hardware. Non-Technical Skills (Must Have): Responsible enough to work well with a team. Ability to work effectively and with the requisite respect and courtesy within scientific and research environment. Must have strong customer service focus and user instruction skills.
