Job Title:

Direct Support Professional Supervisor; day For Current Coarc Employees only

To Start:



37.5 hours per week

Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 3:30 pm

(Position requires flexibility with hours: bus duties may affect hours to a 7:00 am start time or a 5:45 pm end time)

Minimum Starting Salary:

$11.68 hr/$12.15 hr eop.

Duties & Responsibilities:

In conjunction with the Supervisor, oversee the day-to-day operations of the designated program location and ensure appropriate staff coverage.

Support the emotional, physical and personal well-being of the individuals assigned, encourage growth by recognizing their autonomy and being proactive with them in reducing their risk of harm; foster a spirit of partnership with each individual and with their “Circle of Support” members; always affirm the human rights, civil rights and responsibilities of each individual as well as justice, inclusion and full community participation; perform in a manner consistent with the NADSP Code of Ethics. This position provides daily supervision to assigned staff.

May be required to work beyond scheduled hours when mandated to ensure adequate staff coverage. May also be required to provide coverage for alternate individuals in a different location per program management or AOD request.


HS diploma or GED required; 2 year degree in Human Services preferred. One year of experience with disabilities required. Valid driver’s license required. Must be able to be certified in Adult CPR and Adult First Aide, and as determined by the individuals assigned: ability to be certified in OPWDD medication administration and/or Insulin Certification; ability to be certified in OPWDD PROMOTE and/or SCIP training/certification; ability to be certified in Pediatric CPR/First Aide training/certification; and/or OCFS Child Abuse Registry Clearance. Must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and frequently up to 50 pounds.

This position requires the ability to transfer, ambulate and give physical assistance to individuals and to implement physical intervention techniques per OPWDD SCIP training.
