In this account management sales role, you will be responsible for driving Agilent Technologies' core Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (CMS) solutions into the Applied Markets. You will team with Agilent Product Specialists and Application Engineers (AE), carry quota and be compensated for all CMS sales in the specified geography. You will be expected to develop and implement successful strategies and tactics to sell Agilent instrumentation solutions. You will be part of a dynamic team of sales professionals driving Agilent's success in this competitive marketplace.
Applied Markets Account Manager Primary Responsibilities
Follows up qualified leads from marketing activities and inside sales while also identifying and developing prospects independently.
Sets sales strategy for territory with Product Specialist team.
Thoroughly qualifies leads, identifies correct solution and coordinates appropriate resources. Works with Product Specialists to close sales opportunities.
Consistently engage with and maintain customer relationship and customer satisfaction.
Provide face-to-face selling presence routinely in customer accounts.
Utilize and orchestrate customer facing resources appropriately.
Conduct basic product demos and reviews with customers.
Look for opportunities to cross-sell other complementary products from Agilent.
Work with Field Sales Channel on development and implementation of key marketing programs.
Utilize SAP CRM and other appropriate tools for effective account management.
Work with customers in developing efficient purchasing practices that are beneficial to the customer and to Agilent.
Identify and cultivate potential opportunities with existing and new buyers within existing and new accounts.
2+ years of experience in Strategic Selling Skills (Executive Selling, Solution Selling)
Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Industry and Market Knowledge
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills as well as Interpersonal and Presentation Skills
Teaming/Collaboration Skills (resource management and team leadership)
B.S., M.S. or PhD in Biology, Chemistry, other applied field or equivalent
