Technical Support Engineer – Philips Intellispace Portal

Your challenge

As Technical Support Engineer, Imaging Clinical Applications and Platform (ICAP), you will deliver world class service to support Philips’ customers throughout the solution lifecycle, including implementation and service processes. You will supply remote and onsite support during implementation and service events depending upon the complexity of the situation. This role is designed to support software applications on Philips and customer hardware utilizing your knowledge of the latest computer hardware, networking solutions, and operating systems to serve as an expert to IT departments and end users.

This position requires approximately 60% travel. We are looking for candidates residing preferably in the Northeast with close proximity to a major airport.

Your responsibilities

As Technical Support Engineer, you will be expected to exceed customer expectations throughout the entire solution lifecycle, your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customer inquiries, providing phone and on-site support to both customers and Field Service Engineers, to resolve complex technical problems and product issues

  • Performing physical installation of solutions including configuration, validation, and administrative instruction; Interfacing and configuring IT solutions across multiple modalities; Supporting BETA and first-of-kind (FOK) installations in the field

  • Managing all assigned escalations – taking a leadership role in the resolution of technical and product problems and communicating that plan to key team members. This may include onsite escalation management and operational reviews. We are looking for

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or closely related major, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years related experience in technical support

  • Knowledge of network diagnosis and troubleshooting, and network security (Firewalls, VPN and etc.)

  • Experienced in DICOM configuration and troubleshooting

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7, Server 2008, and 2013

  • Relevant IT certification(s) preferred, such as CCNA, MCSA, MCITP in Windows Server 2008 and/or 2013

  • Experience with virtual networks (configuration and support)

  • Experience with PACS servers – client/server configuration

  • Knowledge of virtualization and hardware scalability and availability

  • Varying travel required as directed by modality manager (approximately 50%)
