Organizational Overview:

National Sales Director for the CV Ultrasound market segment is responsible for managing the United States CV business (including meeting or exceeding order volume/revenue targets and operational budgeted costs) and ensuring the Region Sales Managers, CV Account Managers, Account Associates and Product Application teams work together collaboratively to achieve all goals and objectives. Focus is on in and out of hospital CV markets within the USA, including; INDs, hospital networks, rural hospitals, doctors offices and other outpatient facilities that are not affiliated with hospitals/IDNs. Your team will consist of over 45 field sales representatives, 45 product application specialists, 6 region managers and 5 account executives focused on these key markets. The National Sales Director will work closely with the North American Field Marketing CV team to build and drive sales and marketing strategies, promos, key customer events, field training and new product launches. The National Sales Director will work closely with the region sales managers to drive funnel and forecast improvement and accuracy. Driving a Culture of Performance will be a key responsibility of the National Sales Director.

Your Responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of market, accounts, competition and industry trends to be utilized in creation of National Sales Strategy

  • Develop a National Sales Strategy to achieve or exceed goals , metrics and expectations

  • Ensure the National Sales Strategy represents the full cardiology, vascular and POC ultrasound product portfolio; including services, education and solutions in the premium, high-end and value segments

  • Direct the development of CV Business Plans, consolidating all plans into a National Plan for the VP of Sales and Market Leader for stakeholder alignment

  • Communicate and drive execution of the Sales Strategy

  • Communicate overall strategy with all stakeholders to include RSMs, PAS Team, marketing team and service team

  • Coach team for a unified One Philips approach throughout country

  • Create a strong sense of team environment among the entire ultrasound organization, Philips Healthcare CORE team and related stakeholders

  • Shares best practices among entire organization

  • Serve as voice for the field and customer to improve customer focus

  • Adapt to Philips strategies to align with evolving customer needs

  • Monitor, analyze, and drive sales metrics and results

  • Manage and drive funnel growth, forecast accuracy, quota performance and profitability across all product lines (in collaboration with RSMs, MT, service and marketing teams)

  • Coach CV team in executing their business and hold them accountable for their results

  • Participate in customer meetings to closure

  • Take ownership for large, regional and national imaging center chains that lack an Account Executive

  • Drive integrated IDN and hospital network plans with account executives, NSMs (GI/CV) and CORE team

  • Develop and leverage relationships to assist the sales team in deal execution

  • Create and sustain relationships with senior players at major accounts

  • Coach the sales team to meet and manage customer expectations throughout the sales process

  • Ensure customer issues are resolved through the escalation process

  • Coach the sales team to support the customer during delivery, installation, and post-installation

  • Ensure the usage of standard processes and guidelines by the sales team

  • Coach CV team (RSMs, AMs, AAs) to create winning account and deal strategies which includes a One Philip approach to the customer with the Challenger process

  • Drive Challenger Sale accountability throughout the entire ultrasound organization by being a role model and coach for the program

  • In collaboration with RSMs, build a strong national team through hiring, succession planning, and onboarding

  • Set clear expectations and communicate regularly to promote understanding

  • Foster a culture of teamwork and information sharing

  • Create a strong culture of development by building the skills and knowledge of the sales team

  • Major airport access, within a one hour drive time, is required for 50% travel per month to fulfill this position’s duties Your Profile:

  • 10+ years of solution selling experience; 5+ years management responsibility

  • Strong executive-level interpersonal skills

  • Proven experience navigating and successfully developing complex deals

  • A senior level sales professional with a proven track record of success managing people and complex sales scenarios

  • Demonstrated success at developing and communicating a clear strategic vision and effectively executing that vision

  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement sales strategies

  • Ability to work with and manage by influence a large diverse sales team to close complex sales opportunities

  • Ability to work within matrix organization and collaborate with many RSDs

  • Possessing the drive and persistency to overcome obstacles are paramount to success in this position
