Your Role

Responsible for the overall of verification activities related to a specific project including execution of plans and protocols for performing internal (in-house under simulated conditions) and external (in the customers’ use environment) design verification and creating documentation artifacts required by FDA/MDD Medical Device Directive and other regulations

  • Oversight of the design input process, design V&V activities, design transfer and product realization, and performance in the field to ensure that all design requirements are effectively met Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership while serving as a tester , evaluator, or lead for installed base product engineering projects

  • Use Good Documentation Practices (GDP) when writing, executing, or reviewing validation documentation

  • Author verification plans, protocols, traces, and reports

  • Review requirements for testability

  • Participate in design reviews to provide feedback on the design to ensure it meets the intended use and defined customer needs

  • Utilize defect management system for defect entry, maintenance, and verification

  • Attend or host defect reviews as needed

  • Provide good communication of test status to the project teams and functional manager including proactively uncovering potential issues with verification testing

  • Develop and maintain project schedules relevant to the project assigned

  • Complete any and all support requested in an accurate and timely fashion

  • Ensure all projects to which you are assigned are completed within the allotted time frame and conform to the latest processes

  • Validates key design inputs like: usability, reliability, performance, supportability, manufacturability, localizability, safety, security, privacy, serviceability, sustainability and costs

  • Your Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualification- Education/Training & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field or equivalent

  • 3-5+ years verification or validation engineering work experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft XP & Office (Word, Excel, Project, etc.)

  • Preferred Qualification

  • Demonstrated in-depth domain expertise of the use environment and use patterns for PET, CT, SPECT, MRI, or hybrid combination of the aforementioned technologies

  • Understanding of FDA/MDD design validation regulatory requirements

  • Proficiency with data management tools (e.g. ClearQuest, DOORS, Agile)

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s engineering degree, or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years of related experience in a medical device or non-regulated industry

  • Working knowledge of appropriate global regulations, requirements, and standards.
