Philips Healthcare Cleveland, Ohio is currently recruiting for Software Configuration & Release Engineers to join our Computed Tomography (CT) and Advanced Molecular Imaging (AMI) organization.
The Software Configuration & Release Engineer develops continuous integration and delivery tools within the framework of software build environments such as Electric Commander using Java and PXE deployment.
In addition, the SW Configuration & Release Engineer leads and supports SW configuration management activities for SW engineering and R&D.
Understand and analyze requirements
Software design, development and test
Design, implement, document, and maintain software build processes, tools, and scripts used to build and compile software code into executable artifacts and subsequently package executable artifacts into deployable installation packages
Participate or lead Software Design Documents and Technical Reviews
Defect analysis, correcting and testing
Work with project managers, developers, and testers to execute software configuration management and software build activities for individual software projects
Work with engineering management, software architects, and developers to enforce configuration management policies, procedures, and guidelines
Minimum of a BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering
3+ years' experience in software development and/or software configuration management
Experience with source code version control systems, preferably RTC, ClearCase and/or Subversion
Experience working in Linux software development environments and some Windows exposure is a plus.
Experience with build and scripting tools such as NAnt, MSBuild, Perl, VBScript, Windows batch files, Electric Commander, Electric Cloud and UNIX shell scripting is preferred.
Familiarity of the one or more of the following programming/scripting languages
Experience with Visual Studio and .NET development technologies is a plus
Familiarity with these tools is a major plus
Electric Commander – Custom Plugin’s development
IBM-Rational Tools Suite (Clear Case API’s, Clear Quest API’s, etc.)
Experience with Visual Studio and .NET development technologies
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and support skills
Ability to analyze and understand complex technical problems and concepts quickly
Ability to globally communicate and collaborate ideas and technical information clearly in both verbal and written forms
Strong project management skills including requirements gathering, project planning and resource management is considered a plus
