Location/Department: Greater Hartford Area Services (Hartford, CT)

Status: Seasonal Full-time, Non-Exempt (November 7, 2016 to January 6, 2017)

Hours Per Week: 35

Schedule: Monday – Friday (Saturday as needed). Must be willing to work on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Scope & Purpose of Position:

To provide support and assistance to the Office Manager during the Christmas Season with filing, answering phones, correspondence, and all activities related to the Christmas Season.

  • Answer phones and direct calls appropriately, taking detailed messages when needed

  • Direct volunteers and clients to proper location

  • Maintain files

  • Assist Office Manager with various tasks

  • Provide relief at reception desk or as needed

  • High School diploma

  • Experience working in an office setting, non-profit preferred

  • Professional and courteous telephone demeanor

  • Works well within deadlines

  • Must have computer skills and be organized

  • Ability to work independently and in a team
