As part of this transformation we now have an opportunity for a Software Technical Support Engineer to join our organisation.

The Software Technical Support Engineer is a trusted partner who provides guidance and implements the right solution to empower customers and ensure they get the most out of Philips solutions. You will be a technical hands-on expert that is responsible for executing the technical activities and deliverables during implementation projects with the aim to drive customer success.

The Software Technical Support Engineer role is remote based and will be supporting trusts across the Midlands.

As the Software Technical Support Engineer, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Mentor and train customers to maintain their systems

  • Resolve technical issues and offer proactive technical support

  • Documentation of solutions to ensure support teams and other consultants can participate in support and onward development

  • Contribute to the collective learning of Philips, seeking to share knowledge globally; assess and share repeatable processes that can be leveraged across multiple projects

  • Practice strong configuration management and version control

  • Act as a key member of the implementation project and/or support team; fosters collaboration through sharing experiences, information, perspectives, skills and expertise

  • Drive continuous improvements of our implementation methodology and service offerings based on customer feedback

  • Represent Philips professionally in both customer and internal team situations

  • Address complex and abstract problems

  • May be involved in business process re-engineering, introduction of new (innovative) technology, or new processes.

  • Effectively applies skills and knowledge to address and resolve challenges

  • Works independently with little supervision and may be involved in custom project work

  • Successfully completes increasingly more complex work that require seasoned technical and consulting skills

  • Capacity to react quickly to problems as they arise and meet deadlines under pressure

  • Works effectively with highly demanding professionals who value precision, preparation, and a sense that their time is being used well

We are looking for

  • Relevant technical certification preferred (MS/VMWare) ITIL is desirable

  • Knowledge of HL7/DICOM preferable

  • Proven experience as a key technical resource championing the needs of the customer within the healthcare industry

  • Demonstrable ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) around all key technical decisions during project delivery or system updates

  • Experience of working within a team environment to achieve desired results
