POSITION SUMMARY: Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures using ultrasound for screening, diagnostic, and therapeutic purposes. Expertly utilizes Ultrasound System settings and functionality to optimizes ultrasound images. This position will include rotating shifts and variable weekends.
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: Graduation from an approved ultrasound program or equivalent education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: None.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Proven knowledge and abilities in Diagnostic Sonography. Demonstrated communications and customer service skills, success in organizing work, computer skills, and ability to multi-task.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Required: BLS. Within one year of hire; Certification by a Vascular Registry through at least one of the following agents: the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography), or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International)
