Project Managers lead and direct teams accountable for achieving project objectives, effective integration of new systems and technologies, meeting time and budget requirements, directing all project resources in accordance with guidelines, in order to realize the desired business goals for the project(s) while driving strong customer satisfaction. Determines project risks, defines corrective action and tracks the projects to closure. Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through literature, technical contacts, and industry competition. Project Managers are given assignments by the Senior Manager of Project Management. They draw up a schedule and seek staffing on the basis of the proposals from all project stake holders and track/manage project budget.
Formulates the project plan, in accordance with the goals and timing, as defined by contract; specifies the staffing of the project, resources required, anticipated costs, risk assessment and quality standards to be used;
Manages the overall customer satisfaction by balancing scope, pricing, and scheduling decisions with what was purchased and forecasted;
Controls the project budget and project progress, evaluates all project initiatives as to feasibility, takes corrective actions when necessary and generates adequate reporting;
Leads the project, within the project budget in terms of quality, customer satisfaction, time, information and organization, monitoring progress and managing external resources;
Ensures appropriate communication between implementation team members to ensure success, efficiency and risk mitigation;
Directs project team members and gives them operational guidance;
Creates and executes explicit action plans that satisfies both customer and business goals;
Works collaboratively with implementation teams;
Reports on employees’ performance to the hierarchical superior of the employees for the purpose of appraisal and may make proposals for training.
You will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Zone Implementation, West zone. The Enterprise Imaging, Project Services team is part of Philips Healthcare Informatics, Solutions & Services (HISS) division. This position is remote, based from a home office. We are looking for candidates who reside in the western United States. The Enterprise Imaging business is currently headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area. Expected travel: Up to 50%.
We are looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field, or equivalent combination of academic and work experience;
Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare information technology or equivalent combination of related experience and education - experience in radiology or cardiology informatics, or similar domain preferred
Strong analytical capacity with excellent troubleshooting skills
PMP certified or working towards certification
Strong knowledge of the following:
o Hardware solutions
o Virtual computing environments
o Networking solutions
Basic knowledge of the following:
o DICOM and HL7
o Clinical workflows
Experience in customer service delivery with a focus on project management
Ability to complete tasks on-time independently with minimal guidance
Superb customer service skills, including high-level professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal communication skills
