Job Description Install new software releases and system upgrades. Evaluate and install patches and resolves software related problems. Perform system backups and recovery. Maintain data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. A certain degree of creativity and latitude are expected.
Apply knowledge of computer science principles, information management principles, ADP functions, hardware and software systems' structures and operation, and computer programming languages and techniques to solve automation problems. Interface with and use minicomputer and mainframe computer systems in addressing project objectives. Use standard or conventional approaches, methods and techniques to define, plan, organize, design, develop, modify, test and integrate data base or data processing systems, computer hardware systems and simulation models. Assist in formulating architectural design, functional specifications, interfaces and documentation of hardware or software systems; use detailed specifications and adapt standardized techniques, methods, criteria and precedents to develop or modify portions of a system or program. Responsible for segments or phases of broader, more complex projects.
Required Skills - Active Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree or postgraduate degree (preferred) in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or engineering.
- 2-5 years of related experience
- Security+ Certification
- Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Knowledgeable about computer science principles, information management principles, ADP functions and plans, hardware and software systems structures and operation, and computer programming language and techniques to solve automation problems.
- Ability to implement standard desktop configuration computer systems; configure, and install computer peripherals; and provide daily technical assistance to resolve personnel problems.
- Experience with ADPE (i.e., monitors, computers, printers, Blackberries, peripherals, etc.).
- Experience with defense acquisition/sustainment programs (Government or industry).
- Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Ability to support project a customer sites where working conditions may vary.
- Ability to travel as necessary.

Department Our services in the Defense business unit support all branches of the U.S. military and the intelligence community. Our teams provide a variety of support services related to the maintenance and life cycle sustainment of US Navy, US Coast Guard and Customs and Border Patrol fielded C5I systems. We are focused on the design, systems engineering, project management, procurement, installation, training, testing, and field maintenance of these systems. We also provide personnel services to military personnel, military families, and civilians working for the military. Our capabilities address a wide range of managed services, as well as the complete military lifecycle which includes recruitment, to active duty through retirement. And for the Intel community we have over 300 cleared professionals who serve a variety of Intelligence Community and Department of Defense customers who stand on the front lines of defense for our nation.
