About Us:

Southern California Alcohol and Drug Programs, Inc. (SCADP) was established in 1972 in a grassroots effort by community volunteers seeking alternatives for individuals with substance use disorder (SUD). SCADP is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization providing more than 500 residential treatment beds and outpatient counseling to over 1,500 individuals.


Program Coordinator:

SCOPE OF DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Program Manager for Court Ordered Services of Southern California Alcohol & Drug Programs, the Program Coordinator for the agency’s Court Ordered Services Substance Abuse Program will assist in planning and supervising project staff, manage and direct services, prepare and review case histories, arrange staff in-service training to increase skills for integrated case management of both substance abuse treatment and coordination of collateral services to achieve unified and common project goals, conduct Quality Assurance and Utilization Review and develop and oversee treatment curriculum.

• Coordinate and supervise all program services under the direction of the Program Manager • Participate in community networks which support program goals, objectives, and which facilitate client referral, service linkage, and outreach • Ability to supervise and motivate subordinates • Hire, train, schedule, supervise, regularly review staff (and volunteers), monitor employee relations • Implement and oversee intake procedure/case load management/client services • Create, implement, and update program materials • Supervise implementation of project’s Scope of Work, coordinate Utilization Review, and effectively monitor and report all program data • Knowledge of the disease of substance abuse, treatment principles, and 12 step programs • Function as liaison between SCADP and program site • Schedule/conduct regular staff development training • Work in cooperation with other SCADP services to coordinate treatment • Other tasks assigned by Program Manager


• BA or Higher, or minimum of 3 years paid experience in related treatment services and/or Drug & Alcohol Counseling Certificate • Must be computer literate • Knowledge of Drug & Alcohol field • Knowledge of Batterers programs • Knowledge of Anage Management programs • Knowledge of PC-1000, PC-1210, and Drug Court a plus • Knowledge of DSM-IV mental health disorders • Knowledge of the disease of alcoholism/drug abuse • Knowledge of treatment plan design and case management • Knowledge of addiction recovery resources/systems • Strong Knowledge of the needs of the target population and experience in substance abuse treatment with this population


Must be computer literate and detail oriented; Knowledge of DUI, Drug & Alcohol field, Drug Court, Penal Codes, Batterers Intervention Program, Anger Management and Parenting Classes a plus

Lines of Authority:

This position reports to the Program Manager, who will supervise the duties and job performance
