Southern California Alcohol and Drug Programs, Inc. (SCADP) was established in 1972 in a grassroots effort by community volunteers seeking alternatives for individuals with a substance use disorder (SUD). SCADP is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization providing more than 500 residential treatment beds and outpatient counseling to over 1,500 individuals.
SCOPE OF DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Recovery Services Operations Manager of Southern California Alcohol & Drug Programs, the Case Manager will provide individual case management. The Case Manager will conduct intake assessment and develop individual service plans for program participants; conduct individual and group treatment sessions; provide substance abuse, health education, and life skills training, as well as provide clients with linkages and advocacy for social service.
• Assist with client intake and creation of individual treatment plans; • Identify client’s practical needs (legal, financial, medical, housing, etc.) to facilitate linkages and appointments; • Conduct case management sessions and provide supportive services; • Resolve daily client issues as they present themselves; • Coordinate access to collaborative/community services for participants and provide advocacy as needed; • Write letters to courts and other referring agencies; • Facilitate life skills/education groups; • Chart all facilitated groups and individual sessions; • Audit assigned client files to ensure that progress notes reflect issues identified in the treatment plan; • Attend monthly staff development and weekly staff meetings; • Promote services and attend outreach events; • Other tasks as assigned by the Recovery Services Operations Manager.
• Master’s level preferred; • Must be a Certified Counselor for Alcohol & Drug Treatment Services; • A minimum of two years’ experience preferred in the provision of substance use disorder treatment to at-risk population; • Culturally competent/sensitive, with bi-lingual/bi-cultural skills (English/Spanish) preferred; • A minimum of two years sobriety if recovering;
Position is located in Santa Fe Springs, CA
Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm

This position reports to the Recovery Services Operations Manager, who will supervise the duties and job performance
