IT Service Desk Specialist
Summary of Duties
Provide support to end users on a variety of issues. Identify, research and resolve technical problems. Respond to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within field. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Document, track and monitor problems ensuring timely resolution.
Help desk tickets.
Workstation / laptop configurations.
Workstation / laptop imaging.
Printer / copier service.
A solid understanding of all core technologies in the area of information systems i.e., networking, telephony, operating systems, hardware, security, support, etc.
- Receives direct supervision.
Performs administrative or technical responsibilities.
Contributes to the development and improvement of concepts, techniques and procedures.
Coordinates own tasks with a specific range of responsibilities under established procedures.
Contributes to a team under general supervision of an experienced professional or manager.
Skilled specialist or recent college/university graduate.
Role specific skills and experience required.
Requires judgment or initiative in resolving issues and making recommendations
