Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Warranty Administration Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Warranty Administration Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead interaction with suppliers and Toyota groups to determine technical responsibility related to warranty and campaign issues; outline and recommend action based on thorough analysis of data.

Reporting to the Responsibility Apportionment Manager, the person in this role will support the Warranty Administration department's objective to contribute to increased customer satisfaction through accurate administration of the warranty policy, and thorough technical analysis to determine responsibility for warranty concerns and field campaigns.

What you’ll be doing

  • Train and direct suppliers to develop responsibility share rate of standard warranty claims; analyze and judge completeness and accuracy of supplier submissions

  • Research requests from North American Region groups to re-allocate individual or groups of warranty claims based on data provided as well as independent analysis

  • Recommend and implement process improvements related to daily work to improve efficiency and results for the customer of the process

  • Determine validity and accuracy of evidence provided by supplier or Toyota group through review of drawings, field data and technical evidence from other groups

  • Determine effective method to visualize large data sets and extensive analysis to allow consistent understanding by members from multiple functions

  • Determine priority of supplier concerns, visualization method, and necessary escalation

What you bring

  • A Technical bachelor’s degree (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Management etc.)

Added bonus if you have:

  • Professional experience in quality or manufacturing related field

  • Demonstrated success analyzing large data sets and developing strategies to improve targeted company Key Performance Indicators/metrics

  • Experience leading projects or activities at the Regional and Cross-Functional level

  • Project management skills and experience
