Baylor Scott & White Health Clinical Research Coordinator in DALLAS, Texas

The Clinical Research Coordinator will learn to assist various Principal Investigators, through delegated authority, with conducting clinical trials per Federal, State and Institutional guidelines. Learning the responsibilities during all phases of trials including pre-study implementation through study closure are included in the scope of this position.

Job Functions

I. Helps ensure that all study documents are complete and that records are retained per Federal, State and Institutional standards

II. Learns knowledge of departmental functions through reading literature, attending workshops, seminars and conferences, and by participating in professional organizations

III. Learns to conduct audits of research studies to check the accuracy, integrity and consistency of research studies

IV. Learns to coordinate study-monitoring visits

V. Engages in positive working relationship with members of Clinical Trial Research Teams

VI. Learns to coordinate implementation of various protocols for assigned research projects with appropriate departments throughout Baylor Scott and White Health by interacting with Principal Investigators and Clinical Managers/Supervisors, providing in-service education for healthcare professionals and working with Pharmacy to ensure a smooth project flow

VII. Assists in the development of research study budgets for new clinical trials, and helps ensure that appropriate billing or charging mechanisms are in place for research charges related to the research study

VIII. Learns to coordinate research subject informed consent and entry into appropriate research studies ensuring that all inclusion and exclusion criteria are met

IX. Assists with regulatory compliance including assisting with preparing IRB materials for approval of protocol amendments, submitting Investigational New Drug (IND) Safety

Bachelor's Degree

2 years of experience

CCRC or CCRP highly preferred
