TheInside Sales Supervisorfacilitates all aspects of the Gordon Food Service (GFS) sales function as it relates to GFS Inside Sales and leads the Inside Sales department to the highest possible level with regard to customer satisfaction, accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise and train Inside Sales Representatives including answering questions, solving problems, monitoring telephone calls, relating information and assigning projects.
  • Monitors the representatives order entry process and territory management.
  • Facilitates departmental meetings and scheduling for the team.
  • Serves as liaison between Commercial Manager, procurement, warehouse, transportation and Customer Development Specialists
  • Designs, implements and monitors new and existing system processes to improve the effectiveness of GFS’ service to the Inside Sales team.
  • Tracks and submits OFI’s.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Must have excellent written, verbal, organizational and communication skills as well as problem‐solving capabilities.
  • Must have the ability to multi‐task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Must have good customer service, leadership and time management skills.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Five years previous customer service or inside sales experience with one year previous supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • In lieu of the specified education and experience requirements, a proven capability to perform the essential functions of the job, as demonstrated by an equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant work experience may be considered.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Bachelor Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation, email, and internet applications with 10‐key data entry experience.
  • Knowledge of Gordon Food Service portal applications helpful.
