City and County of Denver Multimedia Producer (On-Call) in Colorado

Job Description

Denver Media Services is looking to add a talented Multimedia Producer to the team. As a Multimedia Producer you will work with the management team as an internal creative and technical support resource to plan, coordinate and produce video programming, Web content, and media programs as assigned.

This position will support the organization in accomplishing the production of hiqh-quality and creative content, and effective product delivery services requested to support and specific City, departmental, and agency initiatives and overall programming goals.

The work a Multimedia Producer delivers allows residents to rely on high-quality, timely and accurate of information provided by Denver 8, and associated social media platforms.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a part-time, on-call positions with hours varying based on need.

*On-call status = A position in which the incumbent works as needed. On-call positions may have routine or variable work patterns and generally filled to accommodate seasonal or shorter activities in various city agencies. On Call employees are not eligible for city and county benefits.

Job Responsibilities

Support the development, production and distribution of produced content across multiple delivery channels and platforms, including TV and Internet.

Produce video and media products including writing scripts, organizing resources, supervising productions, coordinating with clients, and implementing agency workplan productions.

Work as directed with agencies to plan and develop assigned special projects into content for TV and Web to meet client needs.

Script, shoot and edit finished video packages and products.

Develop, coordinate and maintain content for the Agency's Internet presence. Develop presentation concepts into content expression for electronic delivery formats.

Prepare and manage production budgets for assigned projects to ensure cost containment, achieve effective communication, and foster cost efficiency.

Monitor and implement production standards to ensure agency standards are maintained with staff on assigned productions.

Assigned Web products developed to align with agency and City goals and measures.

Build and maintain technical skills and knowledge necessary to coordinate and deliver programming to TV and Web.


Education Requirement:

Bachelor Degree in Communications, Journalism, Television Production, Digital Filmmaking & Video Production, or a directly related field.

Experience Requirement:

Three years of professional experience planning, producing, and coordinating television documentary, magazine, news, ortopical video programming.

Education/Experience Equivalency:

Additional appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for the minimum education requirement on a one year for one year basis.

Licensure and/or Certification:

Requires a valid driver's license at the time of application.

Salary: $28.33 - $45.34 Hourly
