City and County of Denver Kid Watch Attendant (On Call) in Colorado
The City and County of Denver's Parks and Recreation Departmentis seeking qualified and reliable Kid Watch Attendants!
Attendants will assist the Lead in the overall operations of the Kid Watch Child Care Facilitylocated at Central Park Recreation Center (9651 M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Denver, CO 80238). This child care service is available to all members and guests of Central Park Recreation Center while they utilize the facility.
The *Kid Watch Attendant *assists the Lead to help provide short-term child care service for children ages 1 - 7 years of age. Attendants will help implement a variety of activities which may include; sports, active games, arts and crafts, dance, drama, fitness, music, and various recreational, educational, or cultural enrichment events.
Selected candidates will work between 10 and 25 hours a week. Schedules may vary; candidates should be available from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM - Monday through Saturday and/or 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM - Monday through Thursday. We are also looking for individuals who can act as substitutes for the programs.
Central Park Recreation Center is a relatively new facility within Denver's network of recreation centers. This state-of-the-art facility provides a wide range of amenities to the citizens of Denver, enriching the community with a variety of enjoyable programs throughout the year.

- Provides short-term child care and supervision
- Provides a safe and fun environment in which both children and their parents feel comfortable.
- Provides corrective action as needed.
- Assists lead by actively participating in activities and taking initiative to facilitate programming.
- Assists the lead in completing and reporting accidents or injuries occurring in the assigned area; completing required forms for each child placed in and removed from Kid Watch.
- Communicate with the lead and supervisor concerning cleaning supplies and program material needed.
- Develop positive relations with customers; communicate recreation programs information to participants and parents.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications
- Must be at least 14 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Previous experience working with youth
- Previous experience babysitting youth
- American Red Cross Babysitting Certificate
