Federal Reserve Bank Associate Credit Analyst/Credit Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

Job Summary

Supports the core business activities of Credit Risk Management, i.e., Discount Window, Reserve Analysis, and Payments System Risk by performing daily activities of less risk and less complex nature; ensures activities are conducted in a manner consistent with established policy, procedure, and risk and control requirements. The level of work required is considered entry

level. Must be able to work under close supervision and in a team environment. This job does not have any direct reports.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs daily operations of core functions as directed by manager, supervisor, or senior analyst

• Performs assigned responsibilities in a manner consistent with established policy, procedure, and risk and control requirements, which includes conducting financial analysis, loan processing, and counseling depository institutions

• Assists in compiling data and information used to prepare briefings and reports relating to department activities

• Assists in supporting management of the Credit Risk Management department

• Fields, researches, and responds to less complex or operations-related depository institution inquiries regarding the department's core functions

• Possesses and applies broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to the completion of assignments

• Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience as noted below

• 1 to 3 plus years of direct work-related experience

• Coursework in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of business related software applications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong data analysis skills

• Independent thinking and decision-making abilities

• Ability to work in a team environment
