About the Role
**As a Bureau Account Handler some of your key responsibilities will involve:
Promptly reconciling Bureau unmatched signings
Clearing or reducing funding including liaison with the technical teams to seek resolution
Prioritising and escalating internal and external queries with the appropriate business units seeking resolution
Supporting the offshore team where complex issues manifest
Liaising with the Bureau as and when required
Assisting with the resolution of LORS issues as they manifest (potentially to raise LORS entries)
Unmatched signings - Responsible for the review outstanding cash reports compiled by the offshore Bureau team to either clear the items or ensure that the correct commentary has been entered on each item. Work with various technical areas to progress queries to the point of resolution and clearance of cash
Reports - Issue cash reports per divisional requests, and compile monthly unmatched cash approaching 90 days report
Funding- Review daily funding reports to ensure authorisation obtained, reasons documented or items cleared
Authorisation– Offshore payments (LORS, Disbursements, Write off)
Internal & External Query Resolution - Ensure queries received from external clients / reinsurers, technical processing / business units or other areas within the technical accounting teams are dealt with in an expedient, professional manner
LORS Payment Process – Aid the offshore team in resolving queries relating to LORS submissions. Where required, create LORS messages GRIDS/Insurance portal for complex payments. Backlog investigation/ledger clearance ATLAS/GRIDS
Payments – GRIDS disbursement payments to client/other AON offices and involvement in CSRP as required
Offshore Assistance – assisting with all aspect of the offshore team process and QC, regular conference calls with the offshore Bureau Team leader
Adhoc items – Assistance with completion of forward deals and foreign exchange requests, APD amendments. IT issues and Process improvements
Barclays - Payment approvals .NET
Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
**As a Bureau Account Handler your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Extensive experience in the Broking sector
Detailed knowledge of procedures and practises as well as good understanding of both Atlas and GRiDS systems
Experience with procedures and practices linked to the bureau signing message process and how it applies to GRiDS
Experience in offshore interaction/model
Competency in the Microsoft desk top packages
