JOB DESCRIPTION

Position *Description*

Developer requires high-level technical experience with design, coding, testing, support and debugging of new or existing software. This role would be involved in efforts geared towards development, delivery and support of software solutions according to company standards as well as delegation to junior developer and code reviews.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for development, testing, supporting and debugging new or enhanced code
  • Interface with business partners as well as internal and external technical teams including Architecture, Security, DBAs, Development and Operations
  • Interact directly with business partners for purposes of gathering and conveying information
  • Able to articulate business requirements and objectives and translate those into software development solutions
  • Create and review technical documents and specifications
  • Create estimates for project efforts
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Interact and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications

  • Strong development experience in Web application technologies, specifically Java and J2EE
  • Solid development experience with MS-SQL and Oracle databases
  • Salesforce development experience desired
  • Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Working knowledge of web framework, middleware technologies and common network architectures
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Banking or similar regulated industries desired
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work off-hours and/or weekends occasionally
  • Exposure to working with remote teams
  • Ability to coach/mentor other lower level associates and/or vendor resources
  • Experience interfacing with business partners as well as internal and external technical teams
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple development activities
