UNC Health Care RADIOLOGY APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST - PICTURE ARCHIVE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM in Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Position: Radiology Applications Specialist
Location: Basement of Children's Hospital
Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs/wk, M-F 7:30am--3:30pm; Call Required
The Radiology Applications Specialist supports the Picture Archive Communication System for the Department of Radiology and serves as a liaison between the end-users, vendors and information services for any and all applications. He/She is responsible for defining and maintaining the configuration of a complex system to continually meet the operational requirements of the related operation. Other position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: assists users in defining needs, testing existing and new systems to verify correct functionality, identifies characteristics of problems and provides feedback for improvement, provides user training for physicians, technologists and other staff, and installs equipment as directed in coordination with information services, facilitating workstation configuration, equipment transportation, etc. This position is from 7:30am--3:30pm, with call required.
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, ARRT certified, and six years recent experience in Radiologic Sciences working with Radiology Information Systems and PACS; or a bachelor's degree in computer sciences or Bioengineering and two years recent experience in in Radiologic Sciences working with Radiology Information Systems and PACS; Or an Associate’s Degree with six years recent radiology information systems administration experience.
