The role

Be part of a dynamic team consulting team based in Cambridge, MA working directly with clients across America to develop using design thinking new healthcare workflow processes, environments and patient experience solutions. Leveraging the cocreate approach as you work in close co-operation with members of the design team, data analysts and other consultants from across Philips to develop patient centric solutions that support both project goals and develop the future of healthcare.

It is important that you are curious, imaginative, thorough, articulate, and seasoned in handling research projects, service experience and clients. As a team member, you will be required to collaborate on diverse projects with qualitative/ quantitative research and analysis. You will be required to define and conduct people research grounded in leading research and analysis techniques, synthesis and articulation of research outcomes. Drawing upon your coordination and facilitation skills, you will be required to derive clear insights and trend directions to engage multiple stakeholders and support the creation of meaningful and innovative solutions. You will be required to function independently to lead research initiatives, analysis, approach to problem-solving and strategic recommendations on projects.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead insights gathering and assimilation, through ethnography and contextual research methodologies, in-depth, focused group, and leadership interviews, on-site observations and findings documentation to drive strategic decision making for clients

  • Outline research focus, plan, methodology and strategy to ensure a positive outcome of projects

  • Manage final research deliverable to ensure client satisfaction and business purpose

  • Develop novel research materials, surveys and questionnaires based on client and project needs

  • Conduct all primary and secondary evidence based research activities to support running projects

  • Ensuring critical insights are being appropriately interpreted, translated and manifested in solutions

  • Provide targeted communication, both verbal and written, for internal and external purposes

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate insights to inform design & strategy development

  • Be an internal advisor and resource for advanced research methodologies, and one who may provide mentorship to fellow team members and peers

  • Travel will be required (up to 75%) for site visits, research and presentations

We are looking for:

  • Experienced with innovative research methodologies and approaches towards problem-solving & research strongly desired

  • Experienced in quantitative analyzes along with qualitative research – The ideal candidate will be able to team well with our data analytics team

  • Skills in analytical and process redesign, problem-solving, quantitative reasoning and studying workflow process

  • Methodological design experience is a must with some client facing experience

  • Healthcare design research experience will not be critical but will be highly desirable

  • Service Experience research, design and implementation will be a valuable skill to have

  • Proficiency in creating research frameworks to problem solve

  • Ability to succinctly and visually represent critical insights and experience stories

  • Aptitude to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently

  • Proficiency in Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, and in-design) is a requirement

  • Vector graphic visualization of research is key, and a portfolio must be presented on application
