The Senior Associate Manager, Events will assist with the planning and execution of global, market-facing events for Salesforce Commerce Cloud, including major tradeshows and conferences in the US and Europe. Sample programs the Commerce Cloud events team works on include NRF Big Show, EuroShop, IRCE,, Salesforce XChange, Salesforce World Tours and Dreamforce. The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a fast-paced, continually evolving work environment. Ability to closely collaborate with team members is a must.

  • Working with a cross-functional team, leads the planning process for major events, including goal setting, schedules, communications, content and execution plans.

  • Oversees the content and creative development process for event communications, presentations, signage and other branding.

  • Presents event plans to large cross-functional groups, including executive steering committees and field sales teams.

  • Interfaces with clients to bring customer showcases to life.

  • Works closely with corporate marketing and product marketing to ensure event strategy aligns to corporate goals and the event messaging, demos, branding, etc. adheres to corporate standards.

  • Partners with regional marketing and sales teams to achieve demand generation goals.

  • Provides direction to and helps manages external agencies to achieve desired results.

  • Manages event budgets.

  • Oversees event execution on-site.

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Marketing or Business.

  • 6+ years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified (with a strong emphasis on tradeshow and event planning).

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to use collaboration tools such as Smartsheet and GoogleDrive.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of the organization.

  • Must quickly grasp company messaging and branding.

  • Capable of both setting strategy and executing on logistics.

  • Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects.

  • Knowledge of conference facilities, technology and equipment.

  • Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements.

  • Strong written, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to create, compose, and edit event marketing materials.

  • Ability to oversee the design, development, and production of event marketing materials.

  • Ability to drive projects independently while closely collaborating with others.

  • Comfortable presenting in front of large audiences.

  • Must keep composure in deadline-driven, high-stress situations.

  • Occasional domestic and international travel required.
