Scanner - Part-Time

The Scanner position in our Bridgeton, Missouri office may be the next career step for you.The Scanner selects the appropriate process on scanner for each customized job, feeds paper invoices into a scanner machine in order to create images of the document in accordance with the computer software and Cass procedures. In addition, the Scanner ensures the images are legible, making adjustments to the image as needed to improve the quality of the document. Finally, the Scanner is responsible for monitoring, evaluating and suggesting improvements to the Imaging Supervisor regarding the work distribution through the Agissar system.Please note the hours of this position are:Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 5:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.Wednesday: 5:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Primary position responsibilities:
Operates and understands the procedures of the different jobs to be run on a high speed scanner:
Responsible for selecting correct process on scanner for each individual job.
Feeds documents into scanner – assuring proper alignment, imprint of doc number, readability of invoices including barcode.
Troubleshoots software, mechanical equipment errors and paper jams
Responsible for the quality control of scanned batches.
Compiles completed work from scanner and batches work for Data Entry. Prepares and completes control tickets and routes scanned work to the appropriate department.
Keeps Management informed of potential processing issues and equipment problems as indicated by system warning messages.
Communicates with Help Desk on suspected software issues.
Troubleshoots mechanical problems with light maintenance and repair.
Prioritizes work and completes it in a timely manner.
Maintains a neat and professional work area.
Delivers prepped mail to the scanning staging area.
Assures each batch is accurately entered into the InfoPoint PC.
Maintains neat and professional work area.
Performs other duties required by Management.
Knowledge and minimum requirements:
Ability to operate a personal computer.
General mechanical aptitude.
Good manual dexterity.
Attention to detail.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Capable of analyzing the workflow, assessing problems and providing appropriate solutions.
High school education or equivalent work experience generally found in a production oriented processing environment.
Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to perform light machine maintenance.
