HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Consulting Analyst, Healthcare Supply Chain in Brentwood, Tennessee

Job Summary – Provides timely, accurate, and professional support to Supply Chain consulting teams to meet client’s needs for each consulting engagement. Work closely with clients to collect and analyze pertinent data including, but not limited to, purchase order history, accounts payable data, Master Data files, contract terms, surgical case history, and pharmaceutical data in order to identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities. Assist with project billing and responsible for preparation of reports to assist with practice management (e.g. billings, revenue recognition, staff utilization, project status).

Duties (included but not limited to):

  • Retrieves, reviews, processes, and analyzes demographic, clinical, and financial data provided by clients for consulting engagements

  • Sets up and maintains client team-rooms including; survey responses, data files, analysis, presentations, etc.

  • Prepares statistical and financial reports as required

  • Assists with preparation of client meeting agendas and presentations

  • Assists with scheduling/coordination of client calls and meetings

  • Attends client project update calls as needed

  • Assists with preparation of client proposals and engagement statements of work

  • Attends and participates in client on-site meetings as needed, maintaining minutes

  • Manages client invoicing through electronic invoice system to ensure billing is accurate and up to date

  • Prepares Monthly Operating Report for Consulting to be presented to VP of Consulting and other leadership

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    Strong analytical and technical skills are required. Critical thinking skills to identify risks/issues and develop recommendations. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel manipulating data with formulas and pivot tables. Experience with setting up and querying databases (Microsoft Access, SQL, Business Objects). Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently.


    College Graduate


    GPO and/or hospital supply chain/contracting experience preferred. Detailed analytical experience required.
