Description An research technologist with next generation sequencing experience is sought to join the Genomics Core team in the Ocular Genomics Institute (OGI) at Mass Eye and Ear. The mission of the OGI is to bring precision medicine into clinical care for ophthalmic disorders by facilitating and promoting genomics and gene therapy research in the Department of Ophthalmology. The successful candidate should be capable of using state-of-the-art genomics techniques, including next-generation sequencing, targeted enrichment, microarrays, and Sanger sequencing for diagnostic- and research-based genetic analyses. Training in the use of specific techniques will be provided, as needed. The successful candidate should be able to work independently as well as in a team environment, have good interpersonal and relationship building skills and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in biological or physical sciences plus one or more years related experience. Targeted enrichment and next-generation sequencing experience preferred.
