Description The position of Research Technician is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Michael S. Gilmore at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Department of Ophthalmology of Harvard Medical School. The main responsibilities of the position require safe handling and molecular analysis of microbial pathogens, and providing general research laboratory technical support. .
Requirements Qualified candidates must have a Bachelors degree with some experience in molecular biology and microbiology. Experience in clinical and diagnostic microbiology is of value. As part of a research team, the technician will be expected to be capable of working both independently and collaboratively with individuals from a range of backgrounds, including clinicians, microbiologists, and other researchers.
