Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary RESEARCH ASSISTANT in Boston, Massachusetts

Description Under the supervision of the Research Associate, supports the maintenance and growth of an ocular melanoma research repository in the Ocular Melanoma Center of the Retina Service. Supports research team responsible for studies utilizing the repository, including but not limited to ongoing data management activities, patient enrollment, and regulatory/administrative tasks. Working with the equipment technician and research team, maintains equipment, supplies inventory, and other materials used for the research repository.

Requirements Position requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in the biological or physical sciences. Knowledge of relational database (e.g., Paradox or Access), graphics, spreadsheets and other software packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) helpful. Experience working in a clinical research setting (1+ years) is desirable.

Individual must possess strong quantitative, organizational, and communication (verbal and written) skills. Must have the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple job tasks, to complete responsibilities within strict timelines, and to work independently as well as part of a team.
