The Connected Sensing Venture at Philips is looking to hire a Sr. Android Development Engineer who will be key player in implementing disruptive, innovative cloud-based IoT services in the heart of healthcare revolution. The candidate should be a team player who likes to collaborate with (and mentor) others on the team with prior experience as Lead Engineer.
The Lead Android Developer will be responsible for developing Android based applications. This individual will work with fellow Android/iOS developers and provide mentorship across the Android codebase. The Lead Android Developer will also be responsible for quality of the Mobile App.
Build native Android applications across multiple form factors
Mentor existing Android developers
Collaborate with developers to improve functionality
Integrate RESTful web services
Keep up-to-date on the latest Android SDK developments
Respond to customer feedback & testing
Analyze app performance in production
Test applications across various Android devices
5+ years of experience in mobile development
10 -15 Years of experience developing UI applications
Must have one or more Androids apps currently in the Google Play Store.
Experience with Android Studio a plus
Gradle build experience a plus
Bluetooth SDK experience a plus
Hands on experience with testing across multiple Android devices
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
Proven ability to work in a team environment.
BS in computer science or relevant technical discipline required
