Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary ENT Ultrasonographer in Boston, Massachusetts
Description Under the direction of the Executive Director of Clinical Services and Chief of Radiology, perform and technically interpret a variety of ultrasound scans of the head and neck region to measure and evaluate disease conditions. Interprets the technical ultrasound data.
Knowledge of otolaryngologic ultrasonography typically acquired through specialized training equal to two years or more. Work with vascular experience recommended; carotids, venous and arterial imaging, evaluation of a thyroid mass/thyroid nodule, evaluation of neck lesions, including neck lumps, lymph nodes, nodules, and cysts, including infections of lymph nodes, congenital cysts including thyroglossal duct cysts and brachial cleft cysts, as well as the evaluation for neck pain and lymph node enlargement, evaluation of Salivary gland disease, including infections, stones, salivary gland enlargement, salivary gland pain, gland nodules/lesions, and inflammatory disorders of the salivary glands, and Color Doppler.
Requirements Knowledge of ophthalmic ultrasonography typically acquired through specialized training equal to two years of college or four years of on-the job internship. Bachelor's degree in medical specialty preferred. Must be American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certified Diagnostic Medical Sonographer , five plus years of experience highly preferred
