Description The Director of Clinical Audiology is the leader of the clinical Audiology Department, which includes management of clinical staff, patient work flow, directing clinical research, overseeing education programs, a strong focus on customer service and responsible for setting the strategic director for the Audiology Department. The Director must successfully work with a broad range of constituencies including patients, faculty and staff, students and fellows, colleagues in other hospital and university departments, and hospital administrators. The Director, in consultation with faculty, the Chief of Otolaryngology (?), develops and implements clinical, educational, and clinical research programs consistent with the missions of Mass. Eye and Ear.
Requirements A Ph.D. in audiology and hearing science is required Ten years full-time experience in providing and directing clinical audiology services, preferably in a hospital or similar medical setting. Evidence of scholarly activity, teaching, an independent program of research with extramural support, collaborative research and teaching activities, and service to the institution and profession. Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills Strong track record of collaboration with Faculty
